Artist Open Studio Tours

When: May 20-21
Where: Art studios around Logan Circle/Dupont Circle

What: The Mid-City Artists Open Studios will be held on the weekend of May 20 and 21. Many artist studios within walking distance of the Dupont/Logan Circles will be open for visitors with over 30 artists exhibiting. This is a unique opportunity to see some of DC's most exciting artists in their "home environments." Check out the burgeoning local art scene that is finding its focus in the dynamic Mid City neighborhoods, and visit some of the supporting Galleries and art related businesses that have recently opened following the artists into this upscale urban environment. Book Reading and Signing with Author James Carroll

When: Tuesday, May 23 (6:30 p.m. - Reception & Cash bar; 7:00 p.m. Program)
Where: Women's National Democratic Club, New Hampshire and Q NW.

What: Ward 2 Democrats is sponsoring Forum 2020, a non-partisan series designed to provide a forum for discussing important current events. Meet Author James Caroll, author of House of War for a book signing, reading and discussion. James Carroll is the author of the New York Times bestseller Constantine's Sword. He won the 1996 National Book Award for his memoir An American Requiem. His ten novels include the best sellers Prince of Peace and Mortal Friends.
